Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Warren-Newport Public Library is a group of community volunteers committed to supporting the library through fundraising, programming, and raising awareness of library services. The Friends share a belief that a good library is essential to the intellectual and cultural growth of the community.

The Friends raise money for the library through BookEnds, their used book store, and other projects.

Dates for 2024 Saturday book sales:

February 10, May 4, August 10, and November 2 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in meeting rooms A&B

Friends 2024 meeting dates:

Thursdays: January 25, February 22, May 23, August 22, and October 24, at 1 p.m.

If you want to join the Friends, please complete and return a membership application form. Applications are also available at the Welcome Desk. Share the form with a neighbor and join the Friends together! Membership dues are as follows:

  • Individual (annual): $5.00
  • Family (annual): $25.00
  • Best Friend (annual): $75.00
  • Friend for Life (lifetime): $250.00
