The Warren-Newport Public Library has achieved two national marketing awards from the American Library Association CORE PrXchange 2024 Awards Competition, as announced last month.
The Library was one of only three Illinois libraries to earn this remarkable achievement, from a competitive field of over 300 nationwide entries evaluated by a panel of 25 judges. Submissions were assessed based on the quality of content, format, design, creativity, and originality. The jury included a group of talented marketing professionals, graphic designers, librarians, and visual artists, who were very impressed by the innovative submissions.
The library’s winning entries included the summer 2023 edition of the Inside Angle library newsletter, featuring the colorful summer reading program theme. The second winning entry was a display dedicated to the commemoration of Dia de los Muertos during the fall 2023 celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
