Since 2013, the United Nations has recognized March 20 as an International Day of Happiness – a commemoration of connection and well-being. At Warren-Newport Public Library, we believe in sharing library joy far and wide, as part of the celebration anytime! The Library believes that libraries are cornerstones of happiness in any community.
This International Day of Happiness, take a moment to appreciate the resources, programs, and services that make any library a source of joy for so many. At WNPL, we are grateful to be an essential part of what makes our communities thrive.
Here are a few ways to experience library joy and happiness:
- Check out a humorous book and join The Grow Reading Challenge to win a prize!
- Download or stream a funny movie through hoopla or Kanopy.
- Attend a fun library program this spring.
- Meet a friend at the library — or join the Friends of WNPL together!
- Like (or love) the Library’s social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Studies show that generosity increases happiness.
