April 23-29, 2023 is National Library Week, an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians and library staff play in transforming lives and communities. Libraries are much more than their physical buildings, extending services virtually through online collections, programming, and other resources.
Libraries offer stability in collections and services that allow communities to learn, grow and flourish. Librarians help with referrals and resources to help patrons decipher the latest news, learn new skills, and enrich their lives. WNPL staff consistently provide greater access to digital resources, develop online programming, and share ideas for extending service now and in the future.
As WNPL celebrates our 50th birthday this year, we are interested in hearing your library story! Please feel free to reach out and share your library story with us.
There’s always more to the story at your local library. Happy National Library Week!
