This book is told from multiple perspectives of students who experience a school shooting. The incident begins once the principal finishes a morning speech in the auditorium. The students make their way for the exits before finding them locked. A student named Ty pulls out a gun and shoots the principal. The book ties together various points of view, shows how interconnected everyone within the school is, and how things are put into perspective in moments of terror. The book reveals the emotions of people during the incident who know Ty.
Overall, it was a terrific book and one I would suggest to others, especially in today’s age where these acts of violence have become more common than in the past.
